英语影视欣赏是帮助学生全面提高英语视、听、说、写综合能力的一个重要手段。它具有激发学习兴趣、实现语境教学、使语言学习和文化学习同步进行等功能，并为学生开展适合自己兴趣和特点的学习提供了可能。本书以影片为单元，共分为八章，由背景介绍、剧情简介、文化注释、语言点、佳句欣赏、听力练习、看听说练习、口语讨论、写作练习等项目构成。前五项是为更好地欣赏影片扫清障碍、扩大输入，后四项则起到温习、巩固、检查、提高的作用。尤其是听写练习，我们选择了对话相对密集、语言比较有特色的部分，用书面练习带动语言训练，将讲解重点和练习结合在一起。在编写过程中，我们有意识地凸现文化注释，以帮助学生更好地理解影片背景和相关内容。
