简介
《一千零一夜》，又称《天
方夜谭》，是阿拉伯人民在历经
几百年共同创作、搜集、加工提
炼和编纂而成的一部优秀的民间
一故事集；由大小不一、情节各异
的两百多个神话传说、魔法故事、
一民间传说和寓言故事构成。它是
一一部以浪漫主义的手法反映现实
：生活的文学巨著，其中的故事充
满了神秘的东方色彩和情调。“渔
夫的故事”、“阿里巴巴和四十
大盗”、“阿拉丁和神灯”、“牧
羊人的故事”，“辛巴达航海历
险记”、“狐狸和狼的故事”等
脍炙人日的故事，以其引人人胜
的情节、奇妙的想象、通俗的语
言、浓烈的生活气息和鲜明的阿
拉伯特色，伴随了一代又一代人
的美丽童年、少年直至成年。
它被译成世界上一百多种文
字，而其中的英文版本更是不计
其数，本书选用的是最著名的英
文版本之一。无论作为语言学习
的课本，还是作为通俗的文学读
本，对当代中国的大、中、小学
生都将产生积极的影响。为了使
读者能够了解英文故事概况，进
而提高阅读速度和阅读水平，在
每篇英文传说故事的开始部分增
加了中文导读。
