简介
《懂英语》（Understanding English）是美国语言学家奈达(Nida E.A.) 的著作。主要目的是使学生和技术人员能更有效地阅读科技书籍和文章。作者设定这样的人员学习英语已有一段时间，掌握一定的词汇，并具有几部词典，但他们在把词串在一起以便确切地懂得一个语篇要传达的内容时仍有困难。结果是读者打算快读一个语篇，最后对内容虽也能获得一般印象，却不能正确地懂得其特殊意义，因而不能让这些见解对他们自己的工作有所裨益。
