简介
文化显然是异常复杂的概念之一。但正是由于这一概念无所不包的庞杂性和包容性，才与我们的日常生活息息相关，同时也成为人文社会科学中难以界说和难以回避的问题。一般而言，人类的生活可分为两个层面，即“自然生活”与“文化生活”，用劳思光先生的话来说，就是“人作为动物或生物之一种，原有其‘自然生活’”，但人类不是仅仅有‘自然’层面的饮食寝息、生老病死，人类尚有‘自觉’层面或意识层面的生活。
本书分为十三章，内容包括：文化研究与批评理论、文化研究及其理论遗产、经典形成问题、文化批评与文化研究、文化批评与阐释、文化研究的问题、旅行的理论等。
