《新基点(New Benchmark)全国高职高专院校商务英语系列规划教材:酒店英语》共分为八个单元,选取酒店主要的业务部门,如前台、客房、餐厅、酒吧、康乐中心等作为主要描述对象,主题侧重酒店中与服务对象接触最多的一些场景,如酒店预订、登记、客房入住、餐厅就餐、健身中心、酒吧娱乐、投诉和结账离店等加以重点阐述。每个单元分为六个部分,课文A、听力、口语、写作等这几项基本上围绕一个主题展开,全面透彻地展示酒店中某一个工作岗位上出现的各种情景,帮助学生全面了解并掌握实际运用英语处理事务的能力。课文B介绍世界几个知名酒店集团的发展或最新动态,帮助学生了解酒店业的新潮流和发展趋势。拓展阅读侧重酒店行业几个重点岗位,介绍几个岗位的职业素养,旨在提高学生的职业意识和职业能力。
