简介
本教材在与“中等职业学校基础英语”衔接的基础上,遵循旅游中等职
业教育的特殊规律,密切结合旅游业(尤其是饭店、餐馆、商场)的工作特点
和服务内容,对学员进行英语听、说、读、写、译技能的全面训练,适当深
化语言知识,强化语言交际能力,特别是听说技能和口头交际能力的培养;
注重提高学员的观察、记忆、思维和应变能力。同时,本教材以各种显性或
隐性的形式,用英语进行爱国主义、国际主义、职业道德和有关服务规范的
教育。
全书共有18课。每课含课文一篇、情景对话两则、语法学习、多种有关
语言点和专业内容的口笔头练习、阅读理解和听力训练。全书生词约1000个
。全书从我国旅游业的实际需要出发,以涉外饭店、餐馆、商场等企业一线
部门的服务流程和工作内容为主线,涵盖了这些部门中主要岗位的职责和用
语规范,每课围绕一个中心内容。从课文、会话到练习、听力等项都相互关
联、烘云托月。各课内容选材广泛、体裁多样,论说描述、趣闻传说、信函
故事,无不入书;实际工作中的应知应会、操作交际、皆有比照,力争使学
员对餐旅业略窥全貌,又使其掌握对外宾应该说些什么和怎么说。换言之,
