简介
介词是英语中极为活跃的词类，数量很少，使用频率很高，但掌握起来很难。这是因为英语介语本身的含义已很繁复（从十来个到数十个），在句中依附于其他词类，意义就更变化多端。而介词与某些词结合成固定短语所含有的特定意义，则更难从字面上推测出来。所以，“学好了介词，就等于学好了英语”这句话，就人皆认同了。
为了帮助广大大学生提高介词的运用能力，我们根据教学中遇到的有关问题及历年来四六级统考中发现的问题，编写了这本《新编大学英语介词用法词典》。
本书选取了常用介词50个，每个介词分两部分：一、意义和用法；二、常用词组及成语。重点放在介词和其他词类的搭配上。所涉及的词条之多，足以满足大学生学习和应试的需要。所有例句均附汉语译文，两相对照，细加揣摩，小小介词的微妙含义就会了然在胸了。
