简介:Part Ⅰ Career Chapter 1 EDUCATION 1.Admissions Applying to schools is a grueling process for many college-bound students in the United States. In addition to entrance exams(SAT, GRE etc) and transcripts most schools require a lot of personal information: essays, recommendations, lists of extracurricular activities, sometimes interviews; even visits to the school itself can help. And most students apply to several schools, 5,l0,even 20 at a time. There are six basic steps in applying to a school (assuming you wish to enter the Fall Term): l) inquire: find out as much as you can about the school and the application procedure; do this in the summer a year before the term begins 2) prepare: gather all the necessary forms, letters, score reports etc.; this should be done in the Fall of the year before you wish to study 3)apply: the deadline is usually January l; most applications take more than a week to complete, so allow enough time.
